Adobe CS6 Speedgrade 05/13/2012
Adobe's new Speedgrade color grading software looks like a lot of fun! Color grading video footage adds so much life and character to a production, and often times this step gets left with not enough hours in the budget to really create a work of art in video. I'm eager to try out Adobe Speedgrade on our next few projects to see what it can do. Check out this quick example. Add Comment LED Studio Lighting: Advantages 05/06/2012
Our company needs to purchase a new studio lighting kit, and we'll be venturing into the world of LED light panels. LED lights have quite a few advantages over traditional incandescent lights:
The lights we're planning on purchasing produce the equivelent of 1200 watts of light each, and are quite diffused. My main concern is if they can stand up to the amazing softness of a traditional incandescent soft box light. Once we get them we'll run some tests and report back! We're super excited about Sony's unveiling of the FS700 Cinema Camera. We've been waiting for a sub $10,000 camera that will shoot 240fps at 1080p, as well as future capabilities to capture 4k resolution! Check out this sample video showing off the amazing video quality of this camera. Congrats to the PC Party of Alberta 04/24/2012
It's been an exciting ride over the last three months as we've produced over 60 MLA web videos and 4 TV Ad spots for the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta. It's very rewarding to see everyone's hard work pay off with a historic landslide majority government election, and we're proud to have played a role in producing videos that made a difference! Here's a link to one of the MLA videos we produced. Alberta Provincial Election Campaign Videos 04/04/2012
We've been working around the clock over the last couple of months churning out 66 MLA web videos, and three television commercials for the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta. It's been exciting to meet many dynamic community leaders who really have a passion for the people in their constituencies. Here's the latest commercial we produced which is airing on television right now. We created this 30 second commercial for the Calgary Flames "Brand Your Passion" contest. We had a lot of fun filming some real street hockey action as well as spotlight ice rink footage. The most fun we had was lighting real torches in the pitch black garage. The trick was getting the exposure for the fire just right, while maintaining a solid black background. We managed to pull it off quite well and were very happy with the end results. Plus, fire is one of the best things to film in slow motion! Check out our submission, and leave us some feedback! Chemical Cowboys Music Video 09/26/2011
We filmed and edited this live music video for The Chemical Cowboys here in Calgary. We used three cameras, including a camera crane to get the overhead swooping shots. The crowd was excited to be a part of a music video shoot, and having our production crew there at the concert really increased the energy and excitement that night. Hey guys. Here is the final video we created for Doug Griffiths. With this video we wanted to show the heart and passion behind why Doug chose to run for the 2011 PC leadership race. Inspirational Video - 8 Hours in Brooklyn 09/02/2011
Want to be blown away? Check out this video from Next Level Pictures. They used the Phantom flex camera from Rule Boston Cameras to shoot this amazing video. It’s cool to see how you can take some stuff from everyday life and make it look incredible. Let us know what you think of the video. Doug Griffiths -Community is the Foundation 08/31/2011
We've just released the next video we produced for Doug Griffith's Campaign. We shot this in Black Diamond, Alberta just south of Calgary, as well as at Doug's home in Sherwood Park, Alberta. We wanted to create a video that captured Doug's passion, experience and knowledge of what makes communities strong. |
